How the data pipeline works.
StatsXI ingests structured football datasets and normalizes them into a consistent database used by the site and analytics layer.
Historical results
Completed match history is imported from structured season-level datasets. Depending on competition and season, records can include final and half-time scores, shots, shots on target, corners, fouls, cards and market fields.
Coverage varies by competition and year. StatsXI therefore keeps metric-specific sample sizes rather than assuming every field exists for every match.
Upcoming fixtures
Future fixtures are imported separately through the current fixture pipeline. Availability can change as schedules are updated, postponed matches are rescheduled or competitions publish new dates.
Informational market data
Where available, StatsXI uses average pre-match odds fields or historical market snapshots from structured online source data as a neutral market-information layer. Historical and fixture snapshots are stored separately so the analytics layer can distinguish between different market contexts.
These values are not live betting offers and StatsXI does not represent that a displayed price is currently available or obtainable from any operator. Source timing, coverage, corrections and aggregation can cause the displayed average to differ from prices shown elsewhere.
Odds availability is not uniform across competitions or seasons. StatsXI does not manufacture missing prices and does not use market data to promote a bookmaker or recommend that a user place a bet.
Normalization and quality checks
Imported records are normalized into consistent teams, matches and statistics tables. The ingestion pipeline is idempotent and includes checks around source versions, duplicate handling and database consistency before the data reaches the frontend.
Quality checks reduce the risk of errors but cannot guarantee that third-party source data, mappings or derived calculations are complete or error-free. Corrections can change previously displayed values.
